Collecting and Using Your Personal Data

Types of Data Collected

Personal Data

While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

  • Email address
  • When You join Our waitlist: the locations where You host or sponsor events, the roles You select, and any comments You choose to include
  • When You answer Our sponsorship survey: Your company name (if You provide it) and Your answers about Your industry, company size, budget, and sponsorship practices

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.

Usage Data is limited to standard server logs kept by Our hosting provider (Your IP address, browser type and version, the pages You request, and the time and date of Your visit) and, when You submit Our waitlist or survey forms, Your browser's user agent, the page that referred You, and a truncated one-way hash of Your IP address kept for spam prevention. We do not collect unique device identifiers and We do not measure the time You spend on pages.

Tracking Technologies and Cookies

We keep the technology We place on Your Device to the minimum needed to run the Service. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, remarketing tags, web beacons, or any third-party tracking scripts, and We do not show a cookie banner because We have nothing that would require Your consent: if You only browse the public Website, no Cookies are set at all.

What We actually use:

  • Authentication Cookies (essential): When You sign in to the app at app.duneirl.com, Supabase (Our database and authentication provider) sets first-party Cookies (names beginning with "sb-") that keep You signed in. These are Persistent Cookies with a lifetime of up to 400 days, refreshed while You keep using the Service, and they are set only after You sign in. Without them, signing in does not work. We only use them to operate Your session.
  • Spam protection (essential): The waitlist and survey forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. When a page with one of these forms loads, Your browser fetches the Turnstile widget from challenges.cloudflare.com, and Cloudflare processes technical signals from Your browser (such as IP address and browser characteristics) solely to decide whether You are a real person. Cloudflare states that this data is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
  • Local preferences (functional): If You pick a light or dark theme, or collapse parts of the app interface, We save that choice in Your browser's local storage (for example, a key named "theme"). These values are set only when You make the choice, contain no identifiers, and never leave Your Device.
  • Service worker (essential): The Website registers a service worker so the app can be installed on Your device. It stores no personal data and does not cache Your pages.

Our emails do not contain tracking pixels or read receipts. Transactional emails (such as password resets) include only Our own logo image, served from Our own domain.

You can clear or block Cookies and site data at any time in Your browser settings. The public Website works normally without any Cookies; blocking the authentication Cookies will prevent You from staying signed in to the app.

If We ever introduce analytics or other non-essential technologies, We will update this Privacy Policy first and, where required by law, ask for Your consent before they run.

  • Anonymization: In some cases, We convert Personal Data into anonymous statistical data that cannot be linked back to You. This anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for research and analytics.
